Grants for Merchants/Businesses and Restaurants in the Fort Payne Main Street District

This grant fund is made possible through the generosity of Senator Steve Livingston, Representative Nathaniel Ledbetter, the Fort Payne City Council and all of the people who donated money for #togetherfp t-shirts.

*Please fill out and submit required information. If chosen, grantors will make the determination from which fund monies are drawn.

Criteria:

  • Application must be completed by merchant
  • Describe how the money would be used to improve or recover from the effects of COVID-19
  • Grant must be used for project identified

Eligibility:

  • Merchant applying for grant must have a business located in the Fort Payne Main Street district
  • Business must have been open 6 months or more

Types of Funding:

  • Interior or exterior signage
  • Building façade improvement or curb appeal project
  • Business operating expense, or promotion

Businesses are encouraged to apply, and while not all applications can be funded, we will do our best to provide the business with assistance.

Grantee must submit a photo of how the grant was used by September 1, 2020 to Fort Payne Main Street.

Timeline:

  • Application period – June 30,2020 – July 10, 2020
  • Grants will be awarded July 15, 2020
  • Project needs to be completed by September 1, 2020
