Good morning my friends from Fort Payne Main Street! Well folks it is officially springtime and the reawakening of mother nature, actually Father God is about to remind us that it is a time of renewal and a reason to believe no matter what was yesterdays cloudy, rainy days were that the clouds can part and the sun is indeed going to shine and bring us flowers and beauty. I am always amazed at the Creators genius and how He brings things to life that seemed to appear dead alive again. What a testament to His character and love of new life.
Russell Gulley and his crew gave Fort Payne another great installment of Radiovisions with a great performance by Fort Payne’s own Jess Goggans. I always enjoy Jess with her originality and passion for her craft, thanks Jess for bringing your talent home to us. We had another wonderful Art in The Alley brought to you by Boom town makers market, Landmarks, Fort Payne Chamber of Commerce and Fort Payne Main Street. This is yet another event to bring people downtown to experience the coolness of our historic downtown district. We have so talent in our part of the world from music, painting and all types of artwork, I am continually amazed at our local talent and downtown is the place to see a part of it.
I am looking forward to our upcoming events starting this month with our very first addition of Third Saturday Cruise In, thanks to Amelia Landstreet, Terry Locklear, Heath Locklear, Tommy Westmorland, Johnny Eberhart, to the city of Fort Payne and all those that make this a Fort Payne tradition. Fort Payne Main Street has their third annual Movin for Main Street 5K and this year it will be held at the Rotary pavilion and it will be a twilight run.
